How long do breast implants last, and will they need to be replaced after 10 years?

#

Modern cohesive silicone implants do not have an arbitrary expiration date; they are designed to last 15 to 20+ years and only require replacement if a complication occurs.

Clinical Pathology & Literature Context

The historical notion that implants must be routinely swapped every 10 years is obsolete. As long as routine clinical examinations and periodic ultrasound or MRI screenings confirm that the implants are intact, asymptomatic, and aesthetically pleasing, there is no medical reason to replace them. Many women enjoy their initial implants for several decades.

Surgical & Post-Operative Recovery Protocol

Annual clinical reviews provide peace of mind and long-term health surveillance.
