How is fat harvested, purified, and injected during structural fat grafting?
#Fat is harvested using specialized atraumatic blunt cannulas under low negative pressure, purified using centrifugation or closed-membrane filtration, and injected in minute droplet micro-aliquots.
The harvested lipoaspirate contains blood, tumescent fluid, ruptured lipid droplets, and intact adipocytes. Centrifugation (at 3000 RPM for 3 minutes) or sterile gravity filtration isolates the dense, viable adipocyte layer and adipose-derived regenerative cells. The purified graft is then transferred into 1 mL micro-syringes and layered meticulously through tiny 1 mm entry ports into multiple tissue depths (subcutaneous, intramuscular, and pre-periosteal).
Micro-droplet layering maximizes graft contact with host capillaries, ensuring rapid revascularization and highest survival rates.

What is the difference between macrofat, microfat, and nanofat?
#Macrofat is used for deep structural and body volumization; microfat is used for delicate facial contouring; and nanofat is an emulsified, liquid stem-cell solution used purely for skin rejuvenation.
Macrofat consists of large adipose parcels ideal for buttock or deep breast augmentation. Microfat particles are gently calibrated through 1 mm sizing ports for the cheeks, temples, and jawline. Nanofat is mechanically emulsified and filtered through specialized mesh, destroying mature fat cells while concentrating regenerative mesenchymal stem cells, vascular endothelial growth factors, and stromal vascular fraction (SVF) for microneedling and treating superficial fine lines, dark circles, and scars.
Plastic surgeons frequently combine microfat for 3D structure with nanofat for skin tone and radiance in a single session.
