Can torn earlobes be repaired without surgery using earlobe tapes, glues, or creams?

#

No, non-surgical glues, ear patches, or topical creams cannot permanently heal a torn or enlarged ear piercing tract.

Clinical Pathology & Literature Context

Because the inner surface of an elongated piercing is covered with mature, healthy epithelium, the two sides cannot biologically fuse together regardless of what topical substance is applied. Only surgical de-epithelialization (freshening the margins) exposes fresh bleeding dermis capable of producing collagen and forming a permanent, solid structural union.

Surgical & Post-Operative Recovery Protocol

Surgical repair is definitive, quick, and permanently restores structural earlobe integrity.
